A two-time Olympic gold medallist will present how he deals with pressure to farmers at a P3 Dairy Trust speaker series event on November 24.
Trustee John Garrett told The Profile the trust, which helps drive success for the Hauraki Plains dairy sector, holds a speaker series annually and Mahe Drysdale was this year’s pick.
“It’s about getting people off farm and hopefully they can get something out of Mahe and his strengths and put that into their farm or life in general,” he said.
“He’s been through the sport for many years and I think a lot of farmers could relate to him with the pressures of farming because rowing has a fair bit of pressure.
“There’s also life after farming as well and that’s what Mahe is doing now which is life after rowing so how he deals with that, we would like to hear about that.”
John said the free event would be held at Ngātea War Memorial Hall from 7pm and non-farmers were also welcomed.
