Whitianga Marina officially opened their new extension on April 6.
The F pier has been under construction over the summer. A new breakwater wall was installed, and 30 new berths constructed.
The pier will be open to the public in June, once new road connections are complete.

The new extension came at a cost of $15-20 million. Heron Construction built the sea wall, and pontoons were provided by SF Marina.
The 34-year old marina, located in the heart of Whitianga, contains approximately 230 berths and a refueling station.
It is a certified Clean Marina and a member of the New Zealand Marina Operators Association.
