Resources Minister Shane Jones was invited to tour the above-ground facilities at Oceana Gold on January 31, after his announcement introducing the new minerals strategy and critical minerals list. The tour took in the processing plant, ore stockpile, and water treatment plant. The minister also spoke with several mine workers, who explained the various processes at the mine.
