Twenty-two new citizens swore allegiance to king and country on February 26, at Hauraki District Council’s citizenship ceremony. There were tears and cheers as the newly-minted New Zealanders were welcomed into the community by Mayor Toby Adams and council staff. ALICE PARMINTERwas there to document the special occasion.
