The Thames Valley Secondary Schools Swimming Champs meet took place in Thames on March 12. Students from schools across the valley freestyled, butterflied, backstroked and dived through their paces under Sport Waikato’s “Positive Vibes Only” banners. The motto is from an initiative by the sporting agency to encourage support and good sportsmanship within the sporting community, and the students embodied the good vibes on the day with plenty of cheering for everyone in the pool. Reporter ALICE PARMINTER dived into the action.
