The residents of Thames’ Richmond Villas put their best feet forward for a fashion show on May 25.
The event was a combined event for the Breast Cancer Foundation’s pink ribbon campaign, and the Salvation Army Hospice Shop.
The residents raised $600 for the Breast Cancer Foundation.
The models, all residents of the village, were dressed in clothes from the Salvation Army store, which also netted $200 from clothing sales after the show.
“It went off very well and it was attended by 60 residents,” committee chairman Gary Pye said.
The models were handpicked by resident Bev, former owner of Beverly Anne Bridal.
“She did a wonderful job of hand picking out what the various models, including two gentlemen, wore on the day,” Gary said.
“It wasn’t just looking at a rack and saying, ‘oh that will do’; she did a great job in matching it all up.
“It looked great.”
