The junior football teams at the Paeroa Rangers Soccer Club took to Paeroa Domain on April 6 for a tournament against players from across the country. Paeroa Rangers Soccer Club president Bob Turlington said the club played host to teams from Omokoroa, Papamoa, Waipuna and Papakura City. “The point of the tournament is giving kids an opportunity to play other New Zealand kids who they would never play,” he said. “Our small club did very well. We lost in the semi-finals to Papakura City in a penalty shoot out.”
